The In-Between Is Uncomfortable

Real Talk Vol. 25

Ever feel stuck in life?

Like everyone around you is progressing

and you’re just…still?

That’s where I am right now.

Stuck in a position I’ve outgrown.

Stuck in circumstances that can’t shift as fast as I want them to.

Stuck in a place that no longer feels like home.

And sometimes it feels louder

because everyone else looks like they’re winning.

Promotions.

Happy marriages.

Contentment with where they live.

Meanwhile, you’re quietly carrying the weight of “not yet.”

Here’s what I keep reminding myself:

this feeling is temporary.

Even when it feels like forever.

Even when the waiting stretches longer than expected.

Even when progress feels invisible.

Being stuck doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It usually means you’re in transition.

Outgrowing something before the exit appears

is uncomfortable by design.

But I know this isn’t the end of my story.

I know there’s more coming.

And I believe the pause is making room for a bigger comeback.

One that actually fits.

So when my mind starts spiraling,

I ground myself in this truth:

I’m not stuck forever.

I’m just preparing.

And if all else fails,

there’s always a bowl of ice cream waiting at the end of the night.

Temporary feelings.

Permanent growth.
